Home Invasion Robbery Suspect Arrested

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police arrested 40 year-old David F. Smith for 1st degree armed robbery in connection with the May 31st, home invasion in the 1600 block of West Spofford. 

Smith was found Friday afternoon in an apartment complex in the 800 block of West Cora. He was arrested without incident. A second suspect is still on the loose. Police are investigation several other home invasion robberies that could be related to these two suspects. 

Spokane police tell us in a press release that victims of home invasions are often reluctant to come forward because these crimes often drug related. Spokane police do take these crimes seriously and urge anyone with information to call Crime Check at 456-2233

Numerous agencies assisted in this arrest, including Major Crimes Detectives and the US Marshalls NW Violent Offenders Task Force.
