IDAHO- Idaho is expanding its crisis standards of care for the entire state.

According to the Idaho department of Health and Welfare, this is because of a surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Although the DHW has activated this protocol, hospitals will implement it as needed.
In general, this helps health care providers navigate a crisis and basically, is the rationing of healthcare. Choosing what cases are the most dire and in need of the most immediate treatment.

An example patients who go to the hospital, might find that beds aren't available or are in untraditional locations like conference rooms.
