JetBlue flight diverted to Spokane for medical issue

A JetBlue flight from Boston to Seattle was diverted to Spokane Saturday morning after a member of the flight crew fell ill during the flight.

Flight 597 landed at Spokane International Airport around 9:15 a.m. Saturday.

A spokesperson with the airline said the flight was diverted out of an "abundance of caution." Todd Woodard with Spokane International Airport told KHQ the crew member fell ill, but did not have any additional details.

The flight was met by medical professionals before it was scheduled to complete its flight to Seattle Saturday morning.
