Kootenai County deputies arrest women for stealing thousands of dollars worth of iPhones

Tuesday, Kootenai County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 23-year-old Paradise S. Williams of Auburn, WA and 28-year-old Brittainney N. Lucenti of Puyallup WA while they attempted to defraud the AT&T store in Hayden by providing false business documents to obtain new phones.

Williams and Lucenti are alleged to have stolen at least $5,000 worth of iPhones over the past several days. They entered the AT&T Store in Hayden where they attempted to purchase four iPhone 8 Plus’. It appears they have attempted these thefts by providing both Verizon and AT&T with a fraudulent WA State business licenses and IRS documents indicating they worked for Heartland Mortgage Inc. based in Walla Walla, WA. Williams and Lucenti would use these forged documents to open new phone lines, purchase new phones, and then leave the store with the purchases being billed to Heartland Mortgage Inc.

After their arrest, deputies recovered six iPhone 8’s believed to have been recently stolen. They also recovered cash and several possible stolen credit/debit cards. Based on information at the time of the arrest, more victims may surface in the near future with additional charges being filed.

At this time, Williams and Lucenti are in custody at the Kootenai County Jail awaiting their first appearances. Williams has been charged with Burglary, and attempted Grand Theft and Lucenti was charged with Burglary and Grand Theft by Possession of Stolen Property.
