Man faces DUI, hit and run charges for crash that flipped semi in Spokane Valley

All eastbound I-90 lanes near Evergreen in Spokane Valley were closed Saturday morning after a semi flipped onto its side.

It started with an erratic driver in a black pickup truck slamming into a passenger car. That pickup truck then hit the semi, which caused it to spin out of control and land on its side.

The driver of the pickup truck, 26-year-old Isaiah Antoine, ran from the scene but deputies found him hiding near the valley mall. He was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries and faces charges of felony DUI and hit and run.

The driver of the semi and a passenger were treated for injuries at the scene and released.

Washington State Patrol lists the cause of the crash as DUI and speed.

Shortly after the initial crash, another driver appeared to ignored closure signs. That driver was also taken into custody for DUI.

All eastbound lanes of I-90 near Evergreen have since reopened.
