School bus drivers jump in to help after fire

Coeur d'Alene Public Schools wants parents to be aware of a suspicious person near an elementary school bus stop.

In a notice sent Thursday, parents are informed about a safety alert for bus route 9 for Dalton Elementary School. A man has been spotted lurking in the bushes at N Audubon Drive and Lochlaven Drive in Hayden around the time kids get dropped off in the afternoon.

Coeur d'Alene Public Schools spokesperson Scott Maben said a man had been seen in the area two weeks ago and again Wednesday. While they're not sure if it's the same person, they wanted parents to be aware as a precaution.

No crime has been reported but the Sheriff's Office has increased patrols in the area and is monitoring the situation.
