Q6 Hometown Election Results

Spokane's Proposition 1, which would improve and expand the Spokane Public Library, looks like it's going to pass.

Needing 60 percent of the votes for approval, as of Tuesday night, the bond had 63 percent of the votes.

If passed, the $77 million bond would allow the Spokane Public Library to renovate locations and build three new ones, along with other things like upgrading technology. Taxpayers would see a property tax of 19 cents for every $1,000 of assessed property value, but it also looks like the $495 million Spokane Public Schools bond will pass, so that 19 cents will be offset.
