Police arrest man in connection to tractor theft

Update, Aug. 22: Police have arrested a man in connection to the theft of a tractor from earlier this month.

Tuesday, Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force Detectives continued to investigate the theft of a stolen Kubota tractor. They arrested 37-year-old Zane Lumpkin in the 5000 block of N. Havana.

Lumpkin was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for first-degree possession of stolen property, first-degree trafficking in stolen property and first-degree theft.

The Kubota tractor, originally reported stolen from the Stevens County area, was recovered last week after several tips and other information from community members.

Update, Aug. 15: Police say after receiving several tips from the public, Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force detectives located and recovered a stolen Kubota L4701 HST tractor.

Detectives continue to actively investigate the theft and hope additional tips and information will be received as they work toward identifying the suspects.

Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task Force Detectives are asking for your help locating a stolen tractor. Detectives believe it may have been stolen between July 31 and August 3 and possibly sold to an unsuspecting victim. 

It is a Kubota L4701, similar to the one in the picture.
