Remembering Moscow shooting victims

After a shooting spree killed three people and critically injured a fourth over the weekend in Moscow, KHQ is learning more about the victims of suspected shooter John Lee's rampage.

Terri Grzebielski was 61 years old and Lee's mother. She worked as a medical Physician's Assistant at Moscow Family Medicine. In a post on its Facebook page, Moscow Family Medicine CEO Jeff Geier expressed his sadness over the loss of Grzebielski and the other victims in this post:

Words cannot express the severe grief we are experiencing at the loss of our friend and colleague, Terri Grzebielski. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry and the rest of his family along with the families of David Trail, Belinda Niebuhr and Michael Chin.

Most of the time, we do not get to decide what happens to us, but we do get to decide how we respond to what happens. During this difficult time, our focus will continue to be on taking care of each other and our community and honoring Terri's life with our service to others.

In the coming days, we will cherish the thoughts, prayers, hugs and words of encouragement. We will heal and become a stronger community.

David Trail was a 76-year-old businessman in Moscow, who worked at Northwestern Mutual Insurance as a Senior as a Senior Financial Representative. He was the brother of former Idaho state representative. He was also Lee's landlord. Belinda Niebuhr was a manager at a Moscow Arby's restaurant. She was 47 years old. KHQ's Gabe Cohen reports she worked her way up from cleaning crew to manager at her job. Over the weekend, people who knew Niebuhr gathered at the Arby's to hold a makeshift vigil.

Niebuhr's long-time boyfriend Donald Fristoe left this message on Niebuhr's personal Facebook page on Sunday:Belinda is the love of my life and im so sad she is gone. Thank you everyone for your prayers and condolences. Belinda will be greatly missed. RIP my babygirl love you.

The fourth victim of the shooting, Michael Chin, was shot in the arm and leg and is currently recovering from  his injuries in a Spokane hospital. KHQ's Victor Correa reported today that Chin has left the intensive care unit of the hospital.
