Administrators at Salk Middle School have been made aware of a potential shooting threat posted on social media by a student Wednesday night.
Parents of Salk students have reached out with concerns about the post on Snapchat, which was sent to another student and included threats to “shoot up” and “kill” others in the school. Salk Administrators followed up to parents with a voicemail concerning the threat.
A spokesman from Spokane Public Schools says they do not believe this is a credible threat, but it is under investigation. The source couldn’t elaborate much more, but said because it isn’t a credible threat, they will not heighten security at Salk.
