School receptionist kicks off summer with amazing version of 'At Last'

Summer break is a special time for students, teachers and staff alike. When that final bell rings and the doors swing open on summer vacation, it feels like it couldn't come fast enough. It's enough to make you burst into song.

One school receptionist in North Carolina did just that, and she's getting plenty of love online for it.

Regina Ballard, who works at North Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, posted a video of her singing the Etta James classic "At Last" last week. She cues up a karaoke version on YouTube and takes to the school's PA system.

"That's it. It's 3 o'clock y'all. At 3:15, it's official," she says before launching into the song.

And surprise surprise, she's got pipes.

"I love my job, y'all, but I look forward to summers when I can spend time with my grands & family, sooo...here it is...At Last!!!" Ballard wrote in the video's caption.

Since it was posted on Wednesday, it has been shared more than 8,000 times with nearly 800 comments.
