The search continues for a missing Connell man who may have fallen into a south Grant County lake.
Sheriff’s Search and Rescue deputies spent most of Wednesday searching for 65-year-old Khampeng Soumphakdy after his family reported him missing. Soumphakdy was last seen around 3 p.m. on November 2.
Soumphakdy's pickup truck was found parked near Long Lake south of Potholes Reservoir, a favorite fishing spot of his. Soumphakdy's eight-foot aluminum boat was found empty and floating on the lake. Deputies also flew over the lake, but found no signs of him.
Deputies say there are no signs of foul play, and that they will continue the search Thursday.
Soumphakdy is described as Laotian, about 5'7" tall, and 160 pounds.
