Spokane boy fighting cancer get dream crab dinner

If you've ever been to Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, you know that's where some of the bravest, toughest little people can be found. An organization called Little Wishes is helping to give them motivation to stay strong during some of the most painful days of their lives.

Ryker Hardy is one of them. Ryker told KHQ he was diagnosed with bone cancer a few years back, so long ago "he doesn't remember when." He said his chemo treatments make him sick to his stomach, and has completely changed his taste buds. He says when he is hungry, he describes his cravings as "overwhelming." That's why when Little Wishes came around, all he could think about was asking for a huge crab dinner.

"It's the best crab in the world," he said. "I ate four pounds of it and still want more. It really helps when you're going through treatment. It gives you the 'we can get through this' kind of feeling."

Ryker said the crab dinner was the best one he's ever tasted. He especially loved not having to share one bit!
