Spokane woman arrested for drugs after Post Falls traffic stop

A Spokane woman is in custody following a traffic stop early Saturday morning after drugs were found in her car in Post Falls.

At around 5 a.m., two Kootenai County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled a vehicle over near the intersection of W. Seltice Way and N. Pleasant View Road. As the deputies approached the vehicle they saw the driver hiding drug paraphernalia. Upon further investigation, the deputies found methamphetamine packaged for sale.

The driver, identified as 25-year-old Ashley M. Allen of Spokane, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, paraphernalia, concealing evidence, and introducing contraband into a jail after more drugs were found hidden in her clothes inside the jail. Allen was booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building 18 times before, including arrests for trafficking methamphetamine, probation violation, burglary and theft.
