SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Spokane Valley.
The Spokane County Sheriff's Office said 33-year-old Joseph Layman was identified as a suspect and arrested.
The investigation revealed Layman arrived at the victim's apartment on March 18. An argument over heroin ensued and quickly escalated when Layman pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times before being subdued.
According to police, a friend quickly took the victim to the hospital for treatment. The victim remained in the hospital for two days due to the severity of his injuries.
On Wednesday, May 15, authorities found and arrested Layman. Layman is currently being held at the Spokane County Jail on $250,000 bond.
