SANDPOINT, ID. - Bonner County Commissioners are pressing forward with a plan to roll back property valuations to 2005 levels after nearly 3,000 appeals were filed by property owners.
Commissioners met yesterday with the county assessor's office and decided the assessor no longer has to meet a Monday deadline to undo the 2006 assessments. A new deadline will be set once commissioners decide what types of properties and equipment should have the assessments rolled back.
The commissioners, acting as the Board of Equalization that hears property assessment appeals, ordered the rollback on July 14th after deeming the 2006 county assessments "incomplete and inaccurate."
