SPOKANE, Wash. - Three people were arrested after an early morning attempted burglary in Spokane. 

According to the Spokane Police Department, a person called to report that a man and woman had forced their way into a home near the 3500 block of E Empire Blvd. and the woman had a handgun.

The suspects claimed they were sent to get money from someone in the home and during a heated exchange, the woman allegedly brandished a firearm and threatened the occupants of the home. 

The suspects then left the house, allegedly saying they'd "be back with the Russians."

An officer on scene saw the suspect vehicle leaving the area and stop near Wellesley and Rebecca. 

Niles Nicola, Abby Plumlee and Corey Darilek were arrested for first-degree attempted burglary and attempted first-degree burglary.
