TRAFFIC ALERT: I-90 Restriction On Snoqualmie Pass This Week

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) - A man who left a syringe plunged into a package of sausage at a Walmart store in Poulsbo was sentenced to three months in the Kitsap County Jail.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://bit.ly/Iwn98L) 33-year-old Daniel Oaks Thieman of Kingston pleaded guilty to first-degree malicious mischief for the Oc. 25 incident and agreed to pay restitution.

Walmart threw out $19,000 worth of meat as a safety precaution after a customer found the syringe in a package of Jimmy Dean sausage.

Thieman was identified through surveillance video. He told police he made a stupid decision while sleep-deprived and on heroin.
