Update on fatal crash on I-90 near Ellensburg

UPDATE for the deadly accident on 1-90 near Ellensburg. 

Washington State Patrol says westbound lanes have opened and backups have cleared out. The left eastbound lane is still closed and there is still moderate backups. 

WSP will continue to keep it closed as they investigate the crash. 

Recovery of the motorhome is expected to take several hours. 

Washington State Department of Ecology is on the scene for a diesel spill into Wilson Creek. 


Washington State Patrol has sent out an update for the I-90 collision near Ellensburg.

One adult and one child dead and one adult and two children airlifted to Seattle. A total of three adults and six children were involved in the collision of a single motor home pulling a trailer.

Washington State Department of Transportation is assisting with traffic control and WSP is investigating. 

This will be an extended closure. Expect delays in both directions
