Spokane Police were investigating after a woman was hit by a pickup truck near Division and Longfellow Friday morning.
Police responded to the area around 10 a.m. Officers on scene say a 38-year-old woman was in the crosswalk when she was hit by the truck traveling southbound.
The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The woman has not been identified. The truck driver is cooperating with investigators.
Additional details weren't immediately available.
It's the second crash on Division this week. On Wednesday a 60-year-old man was killed while crossing Division on a bike. Spokane police say in response to the recent crashes, they will be doing a traffic emphasis patrol on north Division Friday night.
They will be looking for people speeding, and aggressive and inattentive driving. Police say the goal isn't to write tickets, but to make contact with as many drivers as possible and educate them about the dangers of how they were driving.
Officers say they hope the emphasis patrol will reduce the number of not only car vs pedestrian collisions, but all collisions.
