4-year-old girl brings crack cocaine home from Bronx daycare

A 4-year-old girl brought capsules filled with crack cocaine home from her daycare and was taken to the hospital after she told her mom she had put one of them in her mouth.

The girl came home with several vials that a classmate had given to her at a daycare in the Bronx, according to NBC 4 New York.

The girl told her mom, Sabrina Straker, that her classmate had given her his tooth, but when she looked at the vials herself, she knew something was wrong.

“I look at it, and it’s not one piece… it’s two smaller pieces,” she said. “[I thought], OK, clearly this is not a tooth.”

Straker took the vials to the police, who were able to tell her that the vials contained crack cocaine. That's when her daughter let her know that she had tasted one of the "teeth" while at the daycare. The girl was rushed to the hospital where she tested positive for the drug.

Straker says her daughter has recovered, but hasn't gone back to the daycare.

Police are investigating.
