Idaho State Police say a woman is dead following a crash on Highway 95 east of Lewiston Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 1:05 p.m. Investigators say a white 2000 Dodge Durango driven by 23-year-old Wesley Twitchell of Winchester, Idaho, was headed northbound when a red Toyota Corolla driven by 20-year-old Katherine Groggett of Mountain Home, Idaho, was stopped at a stop sign on NezPerce Road.
Groggett entered the roadway, turning left onto southbound Highway 95 when Twitchell struck her on the driver's side. Groggett was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Twitchell, his passenger Lesieli Mafi, and Groggett's passengers, identified as Devonte Smith and Brianna Morrison, were all taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston for treatment.
All those involved were wearing seat belts.
